This is to help anyone that wants to get into the apprenticeship. I would recommend that you study Algebra 1 before taking the entrance exam. If you have to get a tutor then do that. What ever you have to do to score a passing score will be worth it. The next thing I would recommend is to get as many letters of recommendations as you can. Make sure they speak to your work ethic and integrity. If you are in the trade make sure you talk to your forman. If you are a hard worker who shows up on time and everyday and you are productive they will have no problem writing you a letter. Above all else have a positive attidude during you interview. Talk to the panel, make eye contact. Be confident in who you are and what you want. This is not foolproof. That is why scoreing as high as you can on the entrance exam will give you an edge over someone else. This is just my 2 cents. Good luck.
